  • Self-Description: Quick temper, low tolerance for frustration and stupidity. Goes against most people's expectations of what a proper girl should be (I hate shopping, I like bugs, I think pink is evil, I like to do sports, etc.). I hate to lose. I also hate talking about myself (so why is this page here??).

  • Hobbies: SLEEPING, reading, singing (badly, while wandering about campus), playing video games, writing walkthroughs for video games, brushing up on my nihongo (Japanese) skills, learning random useless things in other languages (JE SUIS LE GRAND FROMAGE! JE MANGE TA TETE!! ... vennligst ikke spis meg!), drawing (also badly), watching random things on the telly.
  • Talents: Copy-drawing (i.e., seeing a drawing and drawing it (without tracing paper)), random flashes of part-psychicness (like describing someone's sister, even if I have never met or seen aforementioned sister) that are very useless, so I can't win the lottery or anything, but it is amusing to freak people out sometimes, being able to touch the back of my head with my foot.

  • Dreams for the Future: Eventually draw well enough to restart my webcomic, go to an 宇多田ヒカル (utada hikaru) concert, go to a 東方神起 (동방신기/DBSK/TVXQ) concert, visit Japan, visit the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx in Egypt, open a rescue for abandoned/abused dogs (I'm allergic to cats)

    • Music: Japanese music (utada hikaru, Puffy AmiYumi, HalCali, Day After Tomorrow, hayashibara megumi, Bonnie Pink, tamaki nami), Korean music (TVXQ/Dong Bang Shin Ki, BoA, Eugene), Chinese music (Jay Chou, Twelve Girls Band, ma xiao hui). Sometimes I will listen to Linkin Park, but not very often (same with anything else in English). I have also been known to enjoy Latin music by Shakira (before she sold out as a Britney Spears look-a-like for American audiences), Maná, Lynda, La Ley, Laura Pausini, and others.


    • Anime/Manga

      I don't really watch much anime anymore. I've kiiiiiiinda grown out of it, but I still own a crap-ton of the stuff. Most of it is in storage, though. I still enjoy some of them, I just don't actively watch it. Some favourites include: JUNGLE wa itsumo hare nochi guu, bishoujo senshi Sailor Moon, Dragonball Z, Dragonball, shin kidou senki Gundam Wing, Outlaw Star, Trigun, Rurouni Kenshin, stuff like that. Most of those are shounen (boy stuff), cept for Sailor Moon. I have enjoyed Tokyo MewMew and mahou shoujo Pretty Sammy (Magical Project S) before, but I have to be in the mood for something incredibly stupid to watch those (and Sailor Moon, too, as it's also notoriously sugarpuff stupid-ish). Pokémon and Digimon are the only anime I can actually enjoy as English dubs. All other dubs make my ears bleed and my brain implode.

      Manga, however, I still enjoy a lot, when I have time to read them. I own a lot of manga, as well, but that's also mostly in storage as well, because the world is crazy. My favourite manga are: Naruto (no, I don't watch the anime), Dragonball Z, Tokyo MewMew, Trigun, Priest, Hellsing, Gundam Wing, Shin Tenchi Muyou!, Rekka no Honou (Flame of Recca), aaaaand I can't think of any others right now. Meh.


    • Webcomics: In no particular order, and now with links! 8-Bit Theater, Venus Envy, Goblins, College Roomies from HELL!!!, Looking For Group, Something Positive, VG Cats, General Protection Fault, Ctrl+Alt+Del, MegaTokyo, DM of the Rings, Dub This!, Wendy (apparently the creator has deleted the site for this one. Sad). Some of these have ended now, but they're still pretty good, IMHO.


    • Movies: The Last Emperor, Farewell My Concubine, huo yuan chia (Jet Li's Fearless), Curse of the Golden Flower, The Forbidden Kingdom, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, BloodSport, Armageddon, B@ndits (the German one), Blade, FaceOff, Ghost in the Shell, The Rock, ConAir, Vampires. Yes, lots of these are Chinese movies, and none are Japanese (cept GitS, I suppose. Do anime movies count?). Why does everyone find that weird?

    • Favourite Books: Any of the Redwall Series by Brian Jacques, Slaughterhouse Five (Kurt Vonnegut), One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (Ken Kelsey), the Dragonriders of Pern series (Anne McCaffrey), the Dragon series (Patricia C. Wrede), The Hobbit and the LoTR trilogy (J.R.R. Tolkien), Jurassic Park, The Lost World, The Andromeda Strain, Congo, and most everything else by Michael Crichton, Raptor Red (Robert Bakker), Chromosome 6 and various other books by Robin Cook, books about viruses (not computer viruses), need I go on? I like reading.

  • Intended Majors: Ex-computer science major, now: Psychology and Pre-Medicine
  • Intended Fields of Occupation: Psychologist/psychiatrist. Yes, that means I'm going to med school. And we were already aware of the fact that I'm insane, and super-busy. There's a lot of other stuff I'd be interested in doing, but I'd rather just stick with psych instead of agonizing over a decision, or using my famous Magic Die Method (i.e., open up GuildWars and use their /roll emote to roll a die to make important life decisions), as rolling dice is generally not the best way to pick one's life-long career.
