Ammunition

Every consumable weapon is listed here, including grenades and ammunition. When you wish to lob grenades about, equip them in the menu, then press the R button to raise it up and the A button to throw it. You can shorten or lengthen the distance the grenade travels when it's thrown by moving the C-stick up or down, but be forewarned that moving it down too much might turn you into a suicide bomber. These things take up a lot of space for a one-use item, so don't be shy about using them when you end up with several in your possession, as they are quite useful for crowd control.

Hand Grenade

Filled with metallic shards, it hits all enemies within a certain radius.
Those not killed by the blast get knocked down, if they're in range.

Flash Grenade

Flash grenades emit a bright flash of light when they go off, blinding enemies
within a wide radius. Often enough, this can stun enemies closest to the blast,
allowing you to knock them down without risk to yourself, if you're quick
enough. The blindness doesn't last forever, so don't stand about all day, and
shooting them or cutting them with your knife will make the effect wear off
immediately. These will, however, one-shot any exposed Plagas you come
across (i.e., those that have sprouted from an enemy's neck,
or are chasing after you).

Incendiary Grenade

For the pyromaniacs out there, this grenade produces a wall of flame wherever it lands.
It has a rather small blast radius, but what's funnier than watching your enemies run
around like chickens on fire? Just make sure to stay out of their way when they do,
cause you are not fireproof.

Handgun Ammo

Standard 9mm handgun ammo, holding 50
bullets per box. Very common find.

Shotgun Shells

12-gauge shotgun shells, holding 15 shells per box.

Rifle Ammo

.223 caliber rifle bullets. They are not very
easy to find, especially given the fact that
there are only 10 bullets per box.

TMP Ammo

Rather easy to find, TMP ammo comes with
100 bullets per box.

Magnum Ammo

.45 caliber magnum rounds. Very hard to find, made even worse by
the fact that there are only 10 bullets per box. Use wisely.
