Released in early 2005, Resident Evil 4 is the sequel to Resident Evil 2, and has been in the works since RE 2 came out. The infamous Leon Scott Kennedy, former Raccoon PD S.T.A.R.S. newbie, is now a big-shot Secret Service agent. As seems to be his luck whenever he's a n00b in some agency or other, right away he gets appointed to solve some huge crisis. This time around, President Graham's daughter Ashley has been kidnapped, and is rumoured to be in a small rural village somewhere in the backlands of Spain. It's Leon's job to bring her back to prove his merit, so he traveled to the village to find out all that he can. Upon arriving there, however, he was attacked by the villagers, and not just because he's a gringo who expects Spanish villagers to speak English. The villagers also killed the two Madrid policemen that were with him, and the village is full of dead bodies. They act with mindless violence, their movements lurching and crude. There's something familiar about the way the villagers are acting. But... are they zombies? Could Leon's life be spinning into a downward spiral of deja vu? Or are they something else entirely?
